The Right Mindset Will Set Your World Right

The Right Mindset Will Set Your World Right

How do you see yourself five years from now?

Will you have evolved to a better version of yourself?

Will you have fulfilled the dreams you have today?

I used to be a completely different person.

My previous work as a teacher in a competitive private school left me with no time and energy to dream.  Self-care was way down at the bottom of a long list of daily priorities.

I often compared the chaos inside my head to cobwebs.

I am actually embarrassed to say that during all those years of teaching in a private school, I did not have any dream of living my best life.

My only dream was that I would live long enough to see all of my son’s dreams come true.

That was all.

But that was then.  Today, I have learned to dream again.  My heart is full of dreams and most of the time overflowing with gratitude.

The only thing I needed to change was my mindset.

And that’s what I want to talk to you about – mindset.

If there is one thing that can hold you back from achieving your goals and living the life you truly desire, it’s your mindset.  Your mindset is the lens through which you view life, the world, and yourself.

If you have a negative mindset, achieving personal development and accomplishing your goals will be a truly arduous, exhausting, and difficult process.  You may even find yourself unable to make any kind of progress or growth.

Personal development is all about growth.

I actually call it the process of becoming…of becoming the best you can possibly be.

You need to believe that you can improve your skills and abilities through perseverance, commitment and hard work.

You need to see every problem not as a dead end but as a challenge and an opportunity to spring you forward.

Becoming your best self has a lot to do with living your best life.

This means that you have to reflect on your mindset.  If you think it’s the one stopping you from becoming a better version of yourself, you need to reframe it.

How do you turn your negative beliefs into positive beliefs?

Let me give you an example.

Let’s say you believe that you can’t focus on one thing at a time.  That’s a negative belief about yourself.

You will have to turn it into something positive like: You are good at multi-tasking.

Remember, your beliefs and your words have the power to create whatever it is that you can imagine.  If you constantly check on your words, you will be able to easily open yourself up to beautiful opportunities and the life you truly desire will soon be just within your reach.
